As the lead instructor for our Labor Lounge classes, Melissa guides expectant mothers through intentional movement designed to reduce discomfort, build confidence, and support the body’s natural rhythm in preparation for labor.

Born and raised in the Bay Area and now living in Willow Glen, Melissa is a mother of two girls whose own birth experiences shaped her path. After a traumatic delivery with her first daughter, Melissa found healing and empowerment in her second pregnancy under the care of Dr. Adrouny. Her approach blends evidence-based movement with emotional support, offering a space where women can connect to their bodies and cultivate trust in the birth process.

Melissa’s fitness journey began after recovering from triathlon-related injuries, when she discovered Barre3. After three years as a client, including during her second pregnancy, she began teaching and saw firsthand how consistent, mindful movement eased her pain and supported a faster, more positive delivery.

Outside of the studio, Melissa enjoys playing with her daughters, hosting backyard neighborhood gatherings, sewing, reading, and learning how to skateboard … infusing joy and curiosity into every corner of life.
