Melissa Huerta is a movement-based doula who blends fitness expertise with compassionate birth support. As a barre-certified instructor and soon-to-be MaternityWise Certified Labor Doula, she brings a unique mix of strength, knowledge, and grounded presence to her classes.

Melissa’s journey into birthwork began after her own transformative pregnancy and birth experiences. From overcoming a traumatic first delivery to finding healing in her second under Dr. Adrouny’s care, she knows firsthand the power of movement, preparation, and support.

  • Labor Lounge is a prenatal workshop designed to help expecting parents feel prepared, confident, and supported for childbirth. The class combines evidence-based education, hands-on comfort measures, partner involvement, and real-time Q&A in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

  • This class is ideal for pregnant people and their partners or support persons who want practical tools, emotional reassurance, and strategies to navigate labor and delivery with more confidence.

  • Most families attend between 28–36 weeks of pregnancy, but you are welcome to join earlier or later based on your schedule and comfort level.

  • Sessions include interactive education about the stages of labor, coping techniques, comfort measures, breathing, movement, and positioning. Partners learn hands-on ways to provide effective support. The class also covers what to expect in the hospital or birth setting.

  • Families leave feeling more confident, connected, and prepared for labor. Participants often report reduced fear, increased partner involvement, practical pain management tools, and a stronger sense of control during birth.

  • Both options are welcome. Many people attend with a partner, but solo attendance is absolutely supported and you will still leave with helpful tools for labor.

  • Wear comfortable clothing and bring water, a pillow, and a yoga mat if you have one. We provide props, handouts, and space for hands-on practice.
